Experience Samoan Umu cooking
Watch how traditional Samoan meals are prepared and cooked - and enjoy the Samoan delicacy Palusami, a meal you will never forget.
Just request the date that you would like to have your Umu-cooked meal and we will organise to cook for you. The Umu meal is included for free in the cost of your stay.
Banana Plantation and Bushwalks
Right at your doorstep, the banana plantation is an impressive sight! There are a number of particularly good walks on the island's reserves and beaches.
Papaseea Sliding Rock
The smooth, moss-covered rocks create natural waterslides, the tallest being 5 meters high. This is the perfect place to bring kids of all ages and a great way to cool off and escape the heat!
Visit the islands' waterfalls
Upolu Island is home to a string of beautiful waterfalls of varying sizes up to the 55m-high Fuipisia falls and 100m-high Papapapai-Tai Falls. Some falls have great swimming holes so bring your togs and have a go at swimming under the falls.
Snorkelling around the reef
The whole island of Upolu is surrounded by beautiful coral reefs but we can show you our personal favourite beach that is perfect for snorkeling with the fish. It's where we grew up and we think it's the nicest beach on the island.
Robert Louis Stevenson's tomb and residence
Visit the tomb and residence of the great Scottish poet and writer who developed a life and following in Samoa - often challenging the nature of British colonoialism on the islands. Stevenson adopted the name Tusitala (Samoan for 'Teller of Tales') and is just as much respected now as he was back then.
Vailima Beer brewery in Apia
Enjoy a refreshing beer on those sunny afternoons from Samoa's only brewery!
The brewery has been running since 1978, brewing its unique German style lager beer with a crisp taste.
